Michael Jay Bishop, age 63, of Rosman, N.C., passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He was born Oct. 19, 1959, a son of the late Everett Clayton Bishop and Frances Linn (Williams) Bishop.
Mike was a 1977 graduate of Kingwood High School and a graduate of the Ohio Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Surviving are Mike’s life partner, Kathleen; three sons, Trent Bishop (his wife Katie) of Dolores, Colo., and Lyle Bishop of Milford, Conn., and Cameron Bishop of Apex, N.C.; one grandchild, Jackson Bishop. He also is survived by two siblings, Lynn and Kenny Peters, and Patrick (Lynn) Bishop.
A graveside service will be held at the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood, at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, bring a chair. Fellowship will follow at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kingwood at 6 p.m. Please join Mike’s friends and family to celebrate his life, share stories and refreshments.
