Linda Lee McGilton, age 79, of Greensboro, Pa., passed away at 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
She was born Aug. 3, 1944, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Alva and Isabella White. Linda was a member of the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.
She loved crossword puzzles, spending time with her friends and taking care of her family. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Jesse McGilton, Sr., whom she married on June 10, 1959, died Jan. 28, 2008.
Surviving is one daughter, Christina and husband Garrett Brown of Greensboro, Pa.; four sons, Michael and wife Luci McGilton of Queen Creek, Ariz., David McGilton of Waynesburg, Pa., Thomas McGilton of Waynesburg, Pa., Patrick and wife Carla McGilton of Gastonia, N.C., 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is her son, Jesse McGilton, Jr., and one-half sister and one-half brother. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday,
Aug. 30, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 324 Mt. Morris Rd., P.O. Box 478 Mt. Morris, PA 15349 Shane M. Ayers, Director where services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Adams officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA 15349.
