Sylvia Radabaugh

Sylvia “Jane” Radabaugh, 80, of Bretz, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at Kingwood Healthcare Center in Kingwood.

She was born in Bretz, on Dec. 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Niles Verlyn and Mary (Bubenko) Radabaugh.

Jane was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She was a graduate of Valley High School class of 1960. Jane was employed by Davis and Lynch Glass Factory as a decorator in Star City. She enjoyed planting flowers, bowling, sweets, and stood for the underdog. She especially loved kids.

She is survived by five sisters, Peggy Galusky and husband John, Jeri Figiel and husband Bernard, Mary Louise Polce, all of Masontown, Debra Susan Murray and husband Chesney of Morgantown, and Patty Radabaugh of Bretz; one brother, George Radabaugh of Kingwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Jane is preceded in death by one son, Marc Anthony Radabaugh; two brothers, Louis Patrick Radabaugh and Bryan Timothy Radabaugh; brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Polce; sister-in-law, Debbie Radabaugh; and two nephews, Robert “Bobby” Polce Jr. and Landon Baker III.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 4 -8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, with the scripture prayer service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Zita Catholic Church at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 25, with Father Dominic Athishu as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kingwood Healthcare Center and the Hospice staff for the hard work, care, and compassion given to Jane.
