Lula Woody

Lula “Lulu” Belle Woody, 85, of Morgantown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 11, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Plummer and Goldie (Murray) Dalton.

She was a founding member of the God’s Family Bible Church in Morgantown and has been active in many different roles in the church since 1985.

She is survived by four sons, Richard “Dicko” Woody (Joyce), Kenny Woody (Jennifer), Jeff Woody (Lisa), and Plummer Lee Woody, Jr. (Chrissy); one daughter, Edna Gail Dalton; honorary son, Jason Blosser; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Phyllis Blosser, Ronnie Dalton, and Alice Ann Murphy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Plummer Woody; a son, Arles Lee Woody; son-in-law, Jerry Dalton; five sisters, and one brother.

Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel, 1346 Summer School Rd., Morgantown, 5 p.n. on Tuesday, Aug. 15, from until the time of the funeral service on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Casper Dalton, Jr. and Pastor Donna Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
