Melvin Lee “Tiny” Bohon, 52, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
He was born in Morgantown on Sept. 18, 1970, a son of Melvin Bradley Bohon, of North Carolina, and Wanda Dille Moran, of Granville.
Tiny is survived by two daughters, Britney Wolfe and husband Joseph, of Granville, and Megan Bohon, of Charleston; three grandchildren, Josephine and Otis Wolfe and Finn Altman; one brother, Adam Bohon and his wife Kimmie, of Morgantown; several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
Tiny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alberta Dille; grandfather, Floyd Collins; and his fiancée, JoAnn Schoonover Ball.
Tiny was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved country music. He was a free soul who dearly loved his family, his grandkids and his friends. He enjoyed woodworking, mechanics and building houses and was a “jack of all trades.” Tiny was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Many people will be raising a glass in his memory.
Friends may join the family to honor Tiny’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown, from noon on Monday, June 19, to 1 p.m., at which time a procession will leave the funeral home and proceed to Halleck Cemetery, where a graveside service will take place at 1:30 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Ray Frankhouser.
