Evelyn May Bissett Wallo, 94, of Morgantown, passed away on June 11, 2023, at Evergreen Assisted Living. Evelyn was born in Morgantown on May 19, 1929, to the late Martin Russell Bissett and Sarah Catherine Strosnider Bissett.
Evelyn worked at GC Murphy for over 20 years; then worked at Mylan Pharmaceuticals for over 30 years, as a Chemist Assistant and was a Methodist by faith. Evelyn was always a hard worker, and worked until she was 82 ½ before retiring.
Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Violet Smallwood of Westover, and Dorothy Bissett of Fla.; special niece and caregiver, Sharon Frum; her great-nephew and “boyfriend,” Chris Frum; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Wallo; sisters, Faye Twigg, Eleanor Bissett, and Shirley Bissett; brothers, Norman Bissett, David Bissett, Robert Bissett, Jerry Bissett, Richard Bissett, and Frank Bissett.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Westover, from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, and again on Friday, June 16 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery.
