Joseph Leon “Joey” Newbraugh, 55, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Morgantown while on the job, doing what he loved most.
Born April 25, 1967, in Morgantown, Joey was a son of Earl Newbraugh, who survives him and with whom he made his home, and the late Patty Uphold Newbraugh.
Along with his father, Joey is survived by his brother, Patrick Jay Newbraugh, of Morgantown; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Joey graduated with the class of 1985 from Morgantown High School and attended Fairmont State University. He was a health care provider for those with special needs and disabilities. He loved going to concerts and cooking.
In keeping with Joey’s request, there will be no formal services, and he will be cremated.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Lloyd Conn, Chuck Fisher, Danny Cutright and Chad Newbraugh for being his friend, all of their love and care and always being there to support him.
