Loving wife, mother and gram, Colleen F. (Stuckey) Unger, 92, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her adoring family. Colleen was the wife of the late Lenue Tobias Unger, mother to their two sons and “Gram” to her most treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Colleen was born on Oct. 27, 1930, in Akron Ohio, and raised in the Berkeley Springs area. She was the eldest of three children born to the late Russel James Stuckey.
Colleen retired from Fletcher Motor Sales as their office manager. She enjoyed traveling with her family and close friends. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, canning, quilting when time allowed and every precious minute spent with family members, particularly during the holidays.
Longtime friends will fondly recall her Arthurdale home’s door was always open for coffee and gossip as long as they closed the door and took off their shoes.
Colleen’s memory is carried on by her two sons: Lynn E. Unger (Cheryl) and Craig H. Unger (Candy) and her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jennifer Unger, Adrian (Todd) Taylor, Gretchen (Alex) Paschalides, Tobias “Ty” Unger, Lauren (Mike) Peaslee, Kendra (Ryan) Wheeler, Jackson, Ellie, Wilson and Anna Taylor, Noah, Gabriel and Katie Paschalides, Brier Peaslee and Landon and Lyncoln Wheeler. She is survived by her brother, James (Sylvia) Stuckey, her sister, Rita Jane Massey and her children Chris and Tabitha, all of El Paso, Texas.

Visitation at Morgan Funeral Home located in Reedsville will be at noon on Sunday, April 23 with funeral service starting at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David D. Spence officiating. Burial will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery with a celebration reception afterwards at the Arthurdale Heritage Inc., center building.
