Patricia Betty Lawson, 71, of Fort Pierce, Fla., passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2023, in Pueblo, Colo.
The daughter of the late Athol Orion and Paula Busch Armstong, she was born Nov. 17, 1951, in Texas.
Pat is survived by her son, Shawn Orion Lawson and his wife Siv, of Pueblo West, Colo. and their three girls: Mikelah-Ray Suzuki, Kylee Morgan Lawson and Annabell Marie Lawson, of Pueblo West, Colo.; and their two sons, Chester Kent Lawson-Bednarz, of Providence, R.I., and James Buckly Mikovsky, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and one great-grandson, due June of 2023, Michael Kent Lawson-Bednarz. She has three brothers, Athol Fredrick Armstrong, his wife Martha, of Council Hill, Okla.., Phillip Jacob Armstrong, his wife, Sandra of Clinton Ar., and Paul Andrew Armstrong and his wife, Karen of Greenville, Texas; a sister-in-law, Betty Jane Lawson, of Hazelton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 22 years, Chester Kent Lawson; her in-laws, Chester Dotson and Fay Evelyn Lawson, of Hazelton; brothers-in-law, Donley Blaine Lawson and Gayle Owen Lawson; and a sister-in-law, Wahneta Jean and her husband Wade Friend.
Pat was a rural route postal carrier for 30 years. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, antiquing, traveling and doing genealogy.
A graveside service will be held at the Parnell Cemetery in Cuzzart, 11 a.m., Feb. 11, where she will be laid to rest by her husband, Kent.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home of Brandonville-Bruceton Mills is assisting the family with
arrangements.
