Ben Baker Fleming, 84, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Ben was born on May 14, 1938, the son of the late Leo and Ruth Fleming.
Ben enjoyed being outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, mowing grass on his riding lawn mower, building campfires at his cabin and watching NASCAR, football and basketball. Ben also had a love for all styles of music, which began as a child when he would listen to classical music with his sister “Dokie.”
Ben is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa Fleming; sons, Richard Fleming, R.L. Conneway, and Keith Fleming; daughter, Tammy Payne; and special granddaughter, Lauren Blackwell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Jack and John; sister, Delores O’Brien; and granddaughter, Bentlea Rose Fleming.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home and all services will be private. Interment will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
