Gloria Jean DeRigo Rosch, 77, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022. She was born on Jan. 2, 1945, to the late LeRoy and Virginia (D’Agostino) DeRigo.
She resided in Star City, graduated from St. Francis High School in 1963, and attained a business degree from WVU. She moved to Washington D.C. and spent her entire career in government service. She retired in 2011, after spending 25 years as an export manager in international trade at ITT, where she received numerous awards and outstanding achievements. After retirement, she became a sales consultant for Mary Kay.
She is survived by her son, Scott Wells; stepson, Herbert III (Trey) Rosch (Cheryl); stepdaughters, Kristen Cowan (Dave), Nicole Poole (Jason); one aunt, Grace Dlugos; and a sister, Mary Ann Haney. She is also survived by 12 step-grand and great-grandchildren, as well as five nieces, all of whom she loved and adored.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Rosch Jr. in 2021; brother-in-law, Paul Haney; and daughter-in-law, Brenda Wells.
Jean was an amazing and beautiful lady who dearly loved her family and was true to her many friends and acquaintances. A mass will be celebrated in her honor at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Morgantown, at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 10. Contributions may be made in her name to St. Mary Church or the ALS Foundation.
