James William Cordray Jr., 75, of Maidsville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at Encompass Medical Center. Born Oct. 15, 1947, in Morgantown, he was the son of the late James Sr. and Eva Hunt Cordray.
James was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the department of highways. James enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, 4-wheeling, his camper and had a love for trucks.
James is survived by his daughter, Emily Thewlis (Charles), of Westover; son, Brent Cordray, of Morgantown; sisters, Ollie Cordray and Becky Barabe; and granddaughters, Zoey and Haley Thewlis.

Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 10 a.m. until the service time at noon on Saturday, Nov. 26, with Pastor Stacey Tritt officiating. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services.
