Defensive back Mumu Bin-Wahad enters transfer portal

MORGANTOWN — Freshman defensive back Mumu Bin-Wahad has entered the transfer portal with the intention to leave WVU, he announced on social media Monday afternoon.

Bin-Wahad thanked several groups of people in a statement posted on Twitter, including his WVU teammates, coaches, fans and strength coaches before finishing, “with that being said, I plan to enter the transfer portal with 3 1/2 years of eligibility left.”

Bin-Wahad was in his first season at WVU after signing with the Mountaineers out of Grayson High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He saw time in five games, registering four total tackles. He last played on Oct. 22 against Texas Tech.
