Ida Osecky, 74, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Morgantown, passed away in her home on Oct. 23, 2022. Ida was born one of six children to the late Lester Poe and Christina Deberry-Yost.
Ida was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Osecky; grandson, Wyatt Elijah Statler; brother, Dickie Yost; and sister, Alice McKinish.
Ida retired from the Monongalia County school board with over 30 years as a bus driver. Ida was a mother to many of the children that she drove to and from school. “Honey,” as she was known by many of her close friends and family, will be sorely missed.
Ida is survived by two sons, Ryan and spouse Cheryl Statler and Ronnie Statler and companion Missy Carmen; and four grandsons, Dillon, Thaddeus and Levi Poe Statler and Christopher Bate. She is also survived by one sister and spouse, Connie and Danny Copeland; two brothers and spouses, Jack and Joe Yost and Jim and Robin Yost. Ida is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she was very close to.
Ida will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a later date.
