Roger Dale Wyckoff, 70, of Morgantown, passed away at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022. He was born February 10, 1952 in Mannington, WV, a son of the late James Edward Wyckoff and Elsie Floyd Wyckoff. He was raised by his grandparents Clyde and Effie Wyckoff and had attended Mannington High School and received his GED in 1973.
Roger is survived by his wife who is left to cherish his memory, Susan Powell Wyckoff, with whom he was married to for 28 years; his daughter, Yvonne (Kevin) Gump, of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Christopher Gump and Desiree (Justin) Burnside; a great-grandson due in December of 2022, Jackson; two sisters, Gwen Smith, of Oklahoma and Shirley Lucas, of Ohio; three brothers, Jim Wyckoff, of Oklahoma, Jerry Wyckoff, of Alaska, and Joe Wyckoff, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; very special nieces and nephews, Denny, Diane, Christopher, Macanea, Lille Mae, Nicholas and Clara; and Susan’s special family at the Cancer Center.
Roger was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle who was a man of few words but had a heart of gold! He was known as everyone’s hero, coming to the rescue of so many stranded drivers, that being one example of his kind and caring heart. He loved NASCAR, Chevys, traveling, pulled pork sandwiches and strawberry milkshakes, which will never be matched and all of these things will remind us of him!

Per Roger’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
