Nathan Nabors

Nathan H. Nabors, 64, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 at Mon Health Medical Center, surrounded and comforted by his family. He was born on Oct. 28, 1957, the son of the late James C. and Joan F. Baniak Nabors.

Nathan was a graduate of University High School and worked as a coal miner until 2005 when he began working at Mylan Pharmaceuticals where he worked for 16 years until its closure.

Nathan loved being outside, mowing his grass, sitting on the porch, feeding the deer or even sweeping the road. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and playing corn hole. Nathan was always the life of the party and guaranteed a good laugh, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his three granddaughters.

Nathan is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Flynn Nabors; two daughters, Tiffany (Stephen) Williams and Heather Nabors (fiancé Donnie Ayersman); two brothers, Jim (Mary) Nabors and Kevin Nabors; his three precious granddaughters, Kylie Deavers, Harper Williams and Brooklyn Ayersman; Ralph (Michele) Lawson who has always been like a son to Nathan; and his faithful dogs, Mya and Abby.

Visitation will be held at the Fred L Jenkins Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. until the time of the services at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, with uncle Ted Burnette officiating. Nathan will be laid to rest at the Zion Cemetery on Sunset Beach Road in Cheat Lake.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nathan’s memory to the charity of your choice.
