
Sondra Sue Moser, 82, of Morgantown passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 at the Madison Center. Born May 28, 1940, in Morgantown, she was a daughter of the late Margaret Fugera Loya and John Loya Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Moser in 2019 and her sister, Joanne Loya Bragg in 1967.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Loya (Sue Ann), of Reedsville; daughter, Cynthia Evans (Robert), of Haymarket Va., sons, Bart (Devra), of Morgantown, and Mark (Lisa) of Morgantown; grandsons, Cory Evans (Erica), of Fairfax Station Va., and Cody Moser, of Morgantown; granddaughters, Anna Moser, of Phoenix, Miranda Moser, of Morgantown, and Mahalie Moser, of Morgantown; great-grandsons, Austin and Wyatt Evans; and several nieces and nephews.
Sondra was a home-maker who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, bus trips to Atlantic City with friends, cooking, ironing, yard work and going to church on Saturdays.
Family and friends will be received at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 19 Jo Glen Drive, Morgantown, from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 17 with the Pastor Rev. Biju T. Devassy as celebrant. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be made in Sondra’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
