Melvin Reckart

Melvin C. Reckart, 62, of Albright (Coal Lick community), passed away in his home, Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.

The son of the late Johnny Clarence Reckart and Helen Marie Feathers Reckart, he was born Aug. 18, 1960, in Kingwood.

He was a coal truck driver for many years.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 41 years, Crystal M. Wilhelm Reckart; two daughters, Melanie Reckart and her Fiancé, Shaun Myers, of Albright, and Stacy Greaser and her husband, Joseph, of Tunnelton; a son and his companion, Jason Kennedy and Kathleen Miller, of Albright; two sisters, Brinda Reckart, of Albright, and Cindy Fitchett and her husband, Travis, of Albright; and four grandchildren: Dalaynie Myers, Colton Greaser, Jacee Greaser and Haden Kennedy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Robert Reckart.

Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, and in the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Tuesday, Sept. 13, with Pastor Ray Frankhouser officiating. Burial will follow in the Parnell Cemetery, Bruceton Mills (Cuzzart).
