Carol Marie Bowman, 72, of Blacksville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Aug. 26, 2022.
She was born March 15, 1950, in Morgantown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl M.
Bowman and Bonita R. Smith Foley, and stepfather, Dennis E. Foley.
Carol was a member of the Bula Baptist Church, where she loved helping with crafts and VBS. She spent time working on the family dairy farm and loved animals. She loved to quilt and cross-stitch and was always working on a new project that she loved to share with others.
She is survived by her brother, James E. Bowman (Garnet), of Morgantown; sisters, Shirley J. White (Terry), of Bunker Hill, and Denice E. Corder (Danny), of Blacksville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved very much.
Carol was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Sue Bowman and Mary Ellen Simmeral; one brother, Charles Patrick Bowman; and a nephew, Eugene Simmeral.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville, from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, with Pastor Drew Reveal officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
