James Stephen Bowser, 72, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at his home.
James was born on Nov. 20, 1949, the son of the late Cecil and Jamin Bowser.
James worked in WVU hospital maintenance for 43 years, and he also sold tickets for the WVU football and basketball games. In his free time, James enjoyed going to car shows, yard sales, watching sports and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Pamela Bowser; son, David Bush and his wife Brandee; daughter, Stephanie Boyce and her husband Wesley; grandchildren, Raylin Bush and Sophia, Elizabeth, Kennedy and Sydney Boyce; sister, Patty Boggs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his four sisters, Vonda, June, Dorothy and Betty; and his two brothers, William and Robert.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from
4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug 25, with the Rev. Wanda Brosky officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
