Lila Lee Berkshire, 81, of Morgantown, died on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at the Madison Center following a long illness.
Lila was born in Morgantown on Feb. 6, 1941, the daughter of Michael and Dorothy Berry Reseter.
Lila worked as a certified nursing assistant at the J.W. Ruby Hospital until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Berkshire; daughter Donna Haught; brother Tim Reseter; one sister Cindy Hoover, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Andy Reseter, and one sister Dorothy Scoles.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until noon. Her burial will follow at the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers of the Madison Center for the compassionate care given to Ms. Lila in her final days and also to Ms. Brooke for coming alongside the family during Ms. Lila’s transition from the hospital to the Madison Center.
