West Virginia Tattoo Expo

The Eighth Annual West Virginia Tattoo Expo kicked off Friday at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place with more than 200 artists and vendors.

The expo, which continues from noon-10 p.m. today and noon-7 p.m. Sunday, features on-site tattooing and piercing from hundreds of artists, a variety of vendors, contests, a Miss Tattooed West Virginia pageant and more.

Admission is $20 for a day pass, $50 for the weekend. There is a $5 discount for those with a military or student ID. Children under 12 are admitted free with paying adult.

The expo also has daily contests.

Every contest will award first-, second- and third-place winners, except for the Tattoo of the Day. Winners will receive an award for themselves and their artist.

Registration fee is $10. According to the expo’s website, “All judges are impartial and unbiased. All tattoos will be judged equally. Artist of the tattoo will only be announced during award presentation.”
