Darwin Reed Wilburn, 77, of Morgantown, passed away, Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Ohiopyle, Pa, a son of the late Reed and Mary Elizabeth Wilburn.
He worked for WVU Printing for many years and then for Senior Monongalians, delivering meals. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, and was very proud of his tomatoes, and cheering on the WVU Mountaineers.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Wilburn; brother, William Wilburn (Ginger Barrett); sisters, Pat Gidley, Shirley Trompack (John) and Janet Keenan; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Wilburn; brothers, Robert Wilburn and James Wilburn; and a sister, Bonnie Burrakis.
A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4. Following the service, he will be laid to rest with his wife, Yvonne.
