
Robert Dent “Rob” Clark, 56, of Grafton, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Grafton City Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Morgantown on July 30, 1965, a son of Melinda Bates Clark, of Morgantown, and the late Robert Clark.
In addition to his mother, Rob is survived by his fiancé, Sandy Renner; his two children, Joey Carpenter and his companion Amanda, of Morgantown, and Brian Carpenter and his companion Amanda, of Morgantown; Sandy’s son Ryan Renner, of Morgantown; four grandchildren; his siblings, Richard and wife Becky Cato, of Morgantown, Christine and husband Don Graening, of North Dakota, and Deirdre Straight, of Morgantown; and a special uncle, Ron Clark, of Granville.
Rob enjoyed camping and dearly loved his dogs Luna and Scotty. He was an avid sports and WVU fan. He worked for Swanson Plating. Rob never met a stranger and was beloved by many.
Rob’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion.
At his request, Rob will be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
