Benjamin “Junior” Nicholson Jr., 76, of Indian Head, Md., formerly of Masontown, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital in Washington D.C.
He was born in Masontown, on Dec. 11, 1945, a son of the late Benjamin J. Nicholson and Pearl Pauline (Kirk) Nicholson.
Benjamin was a graduate of Valley High School. He then serviced his country in the U.S. Navy during the
Vietnam Conflict. Benjamin worked for many years as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Aline (Douglas) Nicholson; one son, Benjamin “Joey” Nicholson and wife Julie; two daughters, Shelly Hudson and Carey Nicholson; five grandchildren, Brandon and Justin Nicholson, Baylee Nicholson and Judson and Payton Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Haisley Nicholson; one brother, Charles “Wayne” Carr and wife Arlene; and one sister, Betty “Joan” Gregg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Gregg.
Family and friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, from 10 a.m. until the noon service time on Wednesday, June 22, with Pastor Sam Moon officiating.
