Pastor Allen Ernest Johnson, 77, of Masontown, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Mon Health Medical Center. He was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Erie, Pa., a son of the late Ernest and Helen Hedderick Johnson.
Pastor Johnson served many churches throughout West Virginia during his ministry. He was a member of the WV United Methodist Conference. After he retired, he continued to serve the community with the nursing home ministry at Fresh Harvest Church. In his spare time, Allen was a civil war enthusiast, and enjoyed traveling to different battle sites throughout the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson; son, Michael Johnson; daughter-in-law, AnnMarie; and three grandchildren Ryan, Elizabeth and Chloe.
A memorial service will be held at Fresh Harvest Church, at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 17, with Pastor David Hood officiating.
In keeping with Pastor Johnson’s loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live.
