‘Good guys with guns’ didn’t stop shooter

Nineteen “good guys with guns” were totally unable to stop the systematic slaughter of 21 innocent people, 19 of whom were screaming, terrified children.

Enough is enough, West Virginians. Ban assault rifles, automatic pistols and large magazines.

Flags placed on graves for Memorial Day

Thanks to the Westover VFW and the local Boy Scout Troop for the placement of American flags at the stones/plaques of service people buried in Pisgah Cemetery.

The Pisgah Memorial Society appreciates your interest and energy for the consideration to our veterans.

Legalizing marijuana shouldn’t be considered

What is wrong with our state government wanting to legalize pot?

The effect that pot has on some people is worse than being drunk, then you turn them loose on our highways. There is a very good possibility that there will be more wrecks from smoking pot than drinking and driving.

The state thinks this is a good idea. I think our representatives must have been smoking pot to make such a decision.

Medical pot is a whole different program. Under medical pot, you don’t get high or drunk, whatever the case may be.

The state doesn’t know what they are asking for. I just hope they don’t legalize pot. I can see more trouble on the horizon.
