Rosemary Nagowski nee Tomczak, 90, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., departed this world on June 3, 2022. She is survived by her sisters, three children, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rosemary was married in 1953 to Daniel E. Nagowski, the love of her life, who preceded her in death in July of 2005. Dan and Rosemary Nagowski were the originators of Wings ‘Ole restaurant based in Morgantown, which opened in 1977. Rosemary’s recipe for the blue cheese dressing for the popular “fries and blue” at the restaurant is still being served today.
Rosemary had a deep commitment to the Catholic Church and her family. Her focus was always on family, being together and the well being of her children.
Rosemary will be interned at Peace Gardens — St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Morgantown. Expressions of sympathy as contributions can be sent in her name to St. Mary Catholic Church Morgantown.
