Helen Louise Woods, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Stonerise. Helen was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Barton, Md., a daughter of the late John and Nelli Gragus.
Helen was a homemaker and a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Helen is survived by three daughters, Wanda Mullins, of Morgantown, Barbara Barnes, of Hagerstown, Md., and Frances S. Shobert, of Hanover, Pa.; two sisters, Anna Jones, of Loraine, Ohio, and Mary Wilson, of Baltimore; one brother, Ted Gragus, of Winter Haven, Fla.; four grandsons, Erik C. “Big E” Mullins, of Cheat Lake, Christopher L. Thomas Jr., of Westminster, Md., James T. Staddon, of Hedgesville, and Brent M. Staddon of Falling Waters; and great-grandchildren, Lexi Mullins, Nash Gary Mullins, Kaylyn E. Thomas, Jack J. Staddon and Lucy J. Staddon.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Woods Sr.; one son, Terry “Fuzzy” Woods Jr.; and four brothers, Walter Gragus, Frank Gragus, Johnny Gragus and Pete Gragus.
Private services were held at McCulla Funeral Home with burial at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
