Kimberly Dalton

Kimberly May Dalton, 59, of Morgantown, passed away after her battle with glioblastoma (brain cancer) on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born on May 20, 1962, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Carl Emerald and Edith Ruth (McDonald) Dalton.

Kim was survived by her husband, Adam Meckley; son, Owen Baldwin III and his fiancé Amanda Young; grandchildren, Lottie Blosser, Owen Baldwin IV and Thomas Baldwin; siblings, Carol Law and husband George, Rhonda Summers and husband Blaine, Janet Poole, Linda Willis and husband John, Durwood Dalton and wife Connie, Keith Dalton and wife Heather; mother-in-law, Helen Meckley; special cousin, Pamela Wilson; Aunt Velma McDonald; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loving pets: her Quaker Parrot, “Blue,” and her cat, “Pikachu.” In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Sherrie Hilling; father-in-law, Samuel Meckley; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Poole.
Kim attended Burns Chapel Church during her lifetime. She enjoyed crocheting, collected black bear memorabilia and loved gardening and flowers. The family wishes to thank a special caregiver, Melissa, for the loving care she received from her. Also, a special thanks goes out to all the staff of Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and Amedisys Hospice.

Friends and family will be received at Burns Chapel United Methodist Church, 1809 Summers School Road, Morgantown, from 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, with Pastor Donna Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery. Masks will be made available should visitors wish to wear one. Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
