Alice Marie Smyth, 77, of Westover, passed away at Stonerise (Mapleshire) in Morgantown, on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022. Alice was born in Morgantown on Aug. 17, 1944, to the late Willis Gay Smith and Virginia Lucille Stevens Smith.
Alice worked for Mon Health Medical Center in the housekeeping department and enjoyed reading and working puzzles.
Alice is survived by her daughters: Celeste Smyth, of Morgantown, Michele Friend (Jason), of Maidsville; son, Paul Smyth (Terra), of Monroeville, Pa.; grandchildren: Joseph, Brittany and Tim Wilmore, Antonio Smyth, Ashley Ware and Nate Friend; one great-granddaughter; brothers: Jerry Smith (Shirley) and Larry Smith (Irene Shelton); and her twin brother, Gary Smith (Liz Enlow).
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Smyth.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Jan. 12. Interment will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
