Jean Harlene Wolfe, 87, of Rowlesburg, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 31, 2021, with her family by her side. Born in Burgoo, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Opha Cochran and the beloved wife of Dallas Wolfe Jr. for 67 years, having married on June 5, 1954.
Jean was a longtime member of Rowlesburg OES, being Past Worthy Matron and a grand officer during her life. She belonged to the Rowlesburg Revitalization Committee, serving with the kitchen crew and the Quilters. She was also a charter member of the Rowlesburg Southern Baptist Church.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and working outside in the summertime. She loved spending time with her family, especially visiting with her grandchildren and helping others in need.
Jean is survived by her husband, Dallas Jr., her daughter, Terri Lynn Bulford (Jerry), of Bluefield; her sons, Dallas D. Wolfe III (Denise), of Kingwood, and Paul E. Wolfe (Andrea), of Rowlesburg; her grandchildren, Martha Jean (Aaron) Webb, of Bristow, Va.; Dallas J. (Jana) Wolfe IV, of Kingwood, Sara Lynn (Larry Jr.) Harper, of Princeton, Evan Michael Wolfe, of Silver Springs, Md., and Paula Michelle Jacobs, of Thornton; step-grandchildren, Mitchell Ross Hartley, of Pittsburgh, and Christopher Ray Hartley (Summer), of Westover; great-grandchildren, Jerry F. Bulford III, Joana Patrica Bulford, George Alexander Webb, Katie Lynn and Liam Douglas Harper, Isabella Sophia Michelle and Finley James Michael Jacobs and Dallas Richard Wolfe V; and great-great-grandchildren, Weston Kade and Adalynn Mae Bulford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, James Delbert Wolfe; brothers, Etsell, Fontain, Charles and Gary Cochran; and her first-born grandson, Jerry F. Bulford Jr.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be at a later date.
