Patricia “Patty” Ann Fox, 90, of Morgantown, went to be with her angels on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born in Monongalia County on April 5, 1931, daughter of the late Homer and Nellie (Graham) Downey.
Patty is survived by children, Joyce Flynn, Judy Mackey and husband Ben and Gary Fox; daughter-in-law, Michalene Fox; grandchildren: Patti Fries and husband Jimmy, Ronnie Flynn, Cooper Mackey and wife Mary Kate, Jason Matthew Fox and wife Megan, Jason Thomas Fox and wife Jacqueline, James Fox and wife Joanna and Nathan Fox and fiance Laci Lott; step-grandchildren (children of Joanna), Austin Knotts and Dakota Knotts; great-grandchildren; Brandon Fries, Ruth Mackey, Eli Fox, Lincoln Fox, Reghan Fox, Avery Fox, Illias Fox and Layton Fox; sister, Della Mae Tennant; cousin, Susie Herron; sister-in-law, Wynona Fox; special nephew, Michael Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty is preceded in death by her husband, Kester Eugene Fox; sons, Michael Fox and Timothy Fox; and siblings, Johnny Graham, Penelope “Lou” Farmer and Bill Downey.
Patty expressed her love and affection continually to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her interest in angels and flamingos.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. Funeral service will begin at noon with the Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Cemetery, Pentress.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patty’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
