Charles C. Tamaska, 97, of Westover, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 26, 2021. Charles was born in Morgantown, on March 29, 1924, a son of the late Adam and Julia Tamaska.
Charles proudly served his country in the US Navy during World War II on the USS Missouri. After his honorable discharge from the military, Charles worked for the Department of Energy for many years.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Garnetta Joy Tamaska; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Tamaska, and by several siblings.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
