Thomas Dennis

Thomas Mack Dennis, 89, of Bruceton Mills, passed away Thursday Dec. 9, 2021, in the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

The son of the late Lucian and Margaret Radabaugh Dennis, he was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Morgantown.

He graduated Bruceton High School in 1951, which he followed by four years in the U.S. Air Force, assigned as a nuclear weapons and explosives specialist. He married Ina Bayles on Dec. 27, 1952, and they raised a daughter and three sons, while working as an assistant fire marshall for West Virginia, investigating arson for 25 years and was a former deputy sheriff in Preston County. Mack was known for his quick wit and love for cooking.

He was a loving husband to his wife, Ina G. Dennis, and together they raised a daughter, Debbie Mann, who married David Mann and had three sons: Michael, Joe and David. He is also survived by a granddaughter and her husband, Ann Hammond, and Henry Williams; great-grandchildren, Madison, Avis and Elijah Williams; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private family funeral service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Pisgah with Pastor Daniel Bayles officiating. As a veteran, Mack will be honored with military honors provided by the Air Force at the grave side.

Carl R. Spear Funeral Home Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, will be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
