Janet Carol Capiola, 74, passed away in peace on Nov. 26, 2021, in Newnan, Ga., with her children by her side. Janet was born in Morgantown, on Jan. 19, 1947. She was a graduate of Morgantown High School. Janet was a devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. She loved fiercely, and family was always her priority. She will be remembered for always making sure family meals were a daily event, her love and compassion for animals and selflessly always being there for others. Even with all of her physical challenges, she worked hard to overcome them and defy the odds. She would always say that her greatest joy was her children, and nothing made her happier than being around the ones she loved.
She is preceded in death by her husband, A. Robert Capiola; her mother, Dorothy Marie Johnson; her father, G. Lyle Haines; and sister, Judith Haines.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Caldwell (Todd), of Newnan, Georgia and her son, Robert Capiola (Simchah), of Pittsburgh; her grandson, Samuel Caldwell; and her sisters, Joyce Pegg, of Wheeling, and Julie Haines, of Morgantown.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia or the animal rescue group of your choosing.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. A celebration of life service will take place at 3 p.m.
