Alma H. Jackson, 75, of Dilliner, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at her home. Born in Waynesburg, Pa., on March 19, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Nora Aldine (Statler) Loring.
A 1964 graduate of Mapletown High School, she also graduated from Hannah Harrison School of Nursing in Washington, D.C., as an LPN. Alma had worked in a number of nursing facilities in the area, and retired from MonPointe Nursing Home in Morgantown.
Surviving are her two daughters, Debra Haines McCartney and husband Daniel, of Sardis, Ohio, and Becky Jackson Muilenburg and husband Tim, of Carmichaels, Pa.; a son, Jason K. Jackson, of Dilliner, Pa.; five grandchildren, Zachary Haines, Madison and Gabby Muilenburg and Lilly and Kenny Ray Jackson; a sister, Diana Bryan, of Dilliner Pa.; and a brother, Howard Loring, of Point Maron Pa.
Her husband of 54 years, Kenneth E. Jackson, passed away on April 14, 2021.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and again from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. hour of service on Tuesday, with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating. Interment follows in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner, Pa.
CDC recommendations for the current health crisis will be observed, and the family is requesting that all visitors wear masks in the funeral home.
