Eva Pearl Murray Belt Blosser, 73, of the Kingwood Pike, Morgantown passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Eva was born in Morgantown on April 2, 1948, daughter to Elmer and Ella Hubbard Murray.
Eva retired from the Mon County Board of Education as a cook with more than 30 years of service. Eva was a member of the Mount View Pentecostal Church and loved to sing in the choir. She also enjoyed canning, cooking and baking. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her family, especially time with her grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her three daughters, Donna Dixon (Jack), Rosemary Dalton (Ray) and Susan Myers (Scott), all of Morgantown; her brothers, Raymond, Tom, Gilbert and Wilbert Murray; sisters, Velma Hart, Norma Deavers, Charlotte Tennant, Doris Deavers and Barbara Dalton; her beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Haley, Kiley, Jeweliea, Ashley and Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Liam, Aurora, Layla, Cash, Nachelle, Shey, Makayla, Alexis, Summer, Alexandria, Ayden, Azrealle, Leighandra, Brandon, Jacob and Kenny Jr.; and one great-great-granddaughter, Addilyn.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Jewel “Doc” Belt; her second husband, Leon Willis “Pete” Blosser; one granddaughter, Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Chayanne and Abigail; one brother, Charles Murray; and one sister, Beulah Summers.
Friends will be received at the Mount View Pentecostal Church, Mountianview Road, Morgantown, from 4 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 10, until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, with Pastor Donna Dalton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home.
