William T. Edgell Jr., 62, of Jakes Run, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 19, 1959, at Fairmont, a son of William Edgell Sr. and Barbara Vanhorn Edgell, who both survive.
Mr. Edgell worked at Bob Evans for many years doing kitchen prep. He actually met his wife Carol while working at Bob Evans. William formerly attended the Mooresville Church of Christ.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Carol Johnson Edgell; stepson, Matthew Johnson; mother-in-law, Phyllis Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Robert Johnson Jr.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence “Red” Anderson and Katherine Anderson, Orda Vanhorn and Molly Vanhorn; and his father-in-law, Robert Johnson Sr.
Friends were called at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Funeral services were held in the funeral home at 2 p.m., where Pastor Dan Adkins officiated.
