Stephen “Steve” Andrew Pechart was freed from his earthly body of pain on Oct. 11, 2021, at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
Steve was born on Nov. 25, 1973 in Harrisburg Pa. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela (Norris) Pechart; children, Ryan Scott Pechart and companion Brooke Zimmerman, Hunter Andrew Pechart and companion Sierra Nicole Everson, Skylar Elizabeth Pechart and companion Dylan Lorusso, Matthew Andrew Pechart and Britanie Pechart; parents, Donald and Pauline Pechart; sister, Deborah Jensen and husband Troy; nephew, Roman Jensen; aunt, B.J. Klein; in-laws, Larry and Sharon Norris; sisters-in-law, Lana Norris and Amanda Summerfield and husband Roger; as well as nephews, Austin Summerfield and Isaiah Summerfield, companion Eryn Poling and daughter Timby.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Scott Pechart, and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
He will be deeply missed by his furry children, Izzy, Simba and Leo; and grand-pups, Lukey Luke, Max, Mikka, Milo and Kitty Kitty. He was met at Rainbow Bridge by Sheba, Orphie, Goober, Scruff and Peewee.
Steve had been a pilot for several years before moving to Philippi, where he was employed at Delta Cooling as a maintenance technician.
Steve loved his family and enjoyed doing any activity that included his children and wife. The loss of his generosity, love and smile has brought heartache to his family, but they are relieved that he is no longer in pain and know that they will meet again.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday Oct. 15, and from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Jim Strawderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Norris Cemetery.
