Willie Matheny Fizer II, 72, of Kingwood, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, at Preston Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1948, in Kingwood, a son of the late Willie B. Matheny and Lula Jane DeWitt Fizer.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by a sister, Helen Titchenell; a brother, Paul Sypolt; nine children, Timothy Jay Matheny Fizer Sr. and wife Candida Marie Fizer, Penny Casteel, Willie M. Fizer III and wife Mary Fizer, Heather Adams, Troy Fizer and wife Emma Fizer, Anthony Fizer Sr., Jeannie Gibson and husband Carl Gibson Sr., Billie Jo Fizer and wife Sue Fizer and Joshua Fizer and wife Samantha Fizer; grandchildren, Timothy J. Matheny Fizer Jr., Natalie Faith Matheny Fizer, Bo Matheny Fizer, Bella Marie Fizer, Willie M. Fizer IV, Tammy Rowlette, Emily Fizer, Chloe Fizer, Mark Fizer, Troy Fizer Jr., Isabella Fizer, Ashton Adams, Kaden Adams, Mia K. Shaffer, Anthony Fizer Jr., Jennifer Gibson, Carl Gibson Jr., Issac Fizer, Angel Fizer and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Connie Fizer, of 42 years.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, with Brother A. C. Mann officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Masks and social distancing will be observed during the visitation and funeral service.
