Paul G. Spedding, 62, of Morgantown, passed away suddenly Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, in Moon Township, Pa.
Born Sept. 6, 1959, in Prestatyn, North Wales, to Matthew Spedding and the late Hilda (Salt) Spedding.
Paul was the most wonderful father, husband, brother, son and friend anyone could ever ask for. Paul was employed by Dowty Corp. U.S. where, over the years, he was promoted to regional sales manager for the West. He was then employed by an Australian company as vice president of operations until 2008, when he started his own company. For the last 13 years, he owned and operated P.G.S. & Associates LLC, which he enjoyed immensely. Apart from his business, Paul was an avid reader and wordsmith and never lost a game of “Words with Friends.” He always loved his wife’s cooking, even when the children found the meal questionable, and he never missed an opportunity to go to the car wash, even when it was about to rain. He will be remembered as a strong, hardworking man who loved his family very much. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Paul’s friends for their love and support.
In addition to his father, Matthew Spedding, Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Yolanda (Cochran) Spedding; his daughters, Ashley Ann and Emily Pauline Spedding; his sister, Jane Spedding; and his great-niece and great-nephews, Leah Rose Goettman, Jack Michael Goettman and Michael Bruce Goettman Jr.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Spedding, on Nov. 18, 2018, and a nephew, Michael Bruce Goettman, on March 12, 2005.
Friends will be received at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, PA 16066 from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6. Masks are requested to attend.
A celebration of life service will be held privately by his family.
