Timothy Alan Parrish, 20, of Wana, passed away Sept. 24, 2021, as a result of a diabetic episode. He was born Jan. 5, 2001, and was adopted as the beloved son of Rodney and Dana (Copeland) Parrish. He graduated from Clay Battle High School in 2019, where he was a member of MTEC.
Timothy was a member of the Young Life Leaders. He also took part in the Royal Rangers with the Jakes Run Assembly of God and attended Bula Baptist Church. Timothy battled Asperger’s Syndrome, a type of autism. Despite the challenges he faced, he will always be remembered as the sweet-faced, curly-haired boy who wanted to laugh with you.
Tim is survived by his parents, Rodney and Dana, of Wana; his sisters, Abbigail, Dixie, Cara and Marina Parrish-Fox and her husband Nick Fox. He leaves his maternal grandparents, Connie and Danny Copeland, and his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Parrish. He is also survived by his two nephews, Brantley and Tobe Fox; his niece Marin Fox; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He has been reunited with his paternal grandmother, Patricia Parrish, in Heaven.
A celebration of his life will be held at Bula Baptist Church with a meal provided by the church. The family would like to thank the church for its generous care during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Autism Science Foundation. ASF is a public charity under section 501c3 of the IRS code. Donations are tax-deductible.
