David Paul Knotts, 64, of Tunnelton, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at home with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kingwood on Sept. 1, 1957, to the late Charles L. Knotts and Ruth E. (Hemerick) Knotts.
David served in the United States Army and the United States Navy. He worked construction up ad down the East Coast and helped many friends and family over the years when needed.
David is survived by his daughter, Julie Loughrie and granddaughters, Madison Sines and Chloe Cosner, all of Terra Alta; siblings, William (Sandy) Knotts, of Kingwood, Charles (Judy) Knotts, of Grafton, Charlene (Marvin) Long and Vicky Long, of Tunnelton, Joe Knotts, of Fellowsville, John (Loretta) Knotts, of Akron, Ohio, Donna (Kenneth) Hawkins, of Newburg, Penny (Tommy) Bolyard, of Terra Alta, and Trina Knotts, of Canton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Darrell Steele, of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Knotts; sister Eona Sue Knotts Steele; and brother-in-law, Luther Long.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel. Interment was in the WV National Cemetery in Grafton.
