Sandra “Sandy” Mae Grover, 76, of Fellowsville, (Marquess Community), passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born on Feb. 18, 1945, in Palm Beach, Fla., daughter of the late Lonzo Martin and Vivian (Dyer) Martin Johnston and stepfather, Lewis M. Johnston.
Sandy graduated from Annandale High School in Annandale, Va. She loved doing crafts and cooking. She was a 4-H Leader with the Fellowsville Wolves 4-H Club in Fellowsville.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Ivan Cecil Grover; one daughter, Staci Grover; two granddaughters, Julia Miller and Abby Miller; four sisters, Vivian (Dusty) Dukes and Danny, of Thailand, Ginger Parker, of Virginia, Sydney Johnston, of Virginia, and Dorothy Johnston, of Florida; three brothers-in-law, Terry Sigley and Connie, of Fellowsville, Danny Sigley and Carol, of Tennessee, and Leon Sigley, of Tunnelton; sister-in-law, Patty Sigley, of Thornton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and stepfather, Sandra is preceded in death by one brother, James Martin; and two brothers-in-law, Marvin Sigley and Keith Sigley.
Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St., Newburg, from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, and from 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 13, until time of service at 11 a.m. with Nickcole Ridenour officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Israel Cemetery.
