Gary Lynn Chambers, 51, of Tunnelton, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021.
He was born Aug. 6, 1969, in Kingwood, son of the late Franklin Junior Chambers and Delores Jean Fulk Chambers, of Tunnelton, who survives.
Gary graduated from Central Preston High School, Class of 1987, and Garrett County Community College, where he got his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Gary had worked at Phillips Precast Concrete and last was a truck driver for Energy Transportation in Clarksburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking, gardening, baking and being outdoors. He was a great auto mechanic. He loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his wife of 22 years, Misty Renee Rager Chambers, whom he married July 10, 1999; three daughters, Savanna Rose Chambers, Skyla Marie Chambers at home and Shana Hilling and Kyle, of Hedgesville; one granddaughter, Natalie Paige Hilling; three siblings, Teresa Beveridge and Steve, of Tunnelton, Carrie Liston and Anthony, of Kingwood, and Bradley Chambers and Susan, of Independence; mother-in-law, Linda Grimm Rager, of Tunnelton; special nephew and niece whom he raised, Cody and Krista Wolfe; several additional nieces, nephews and cousins; and his four-legged companions, Vada and Ginger.
In addition to his father, Gary is preceded in death by father-in-law, Terry Rager, and four-legged companion, Sheba.
Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St., Newburg, from 2-7 p.m. Monday, July 26.
