Hebert Edward Weaver, 79, of Tunnelton, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center, with loving family by his side.
He was born in Preston County, on Feb. 6, 1942, a son of the late Gordon and Marie Britton Weaver.
Hebert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Hebert was a coal miner and had worked for Chapel Coal Co. and Island Creek Consol.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Metheny Weaver, of 34 years; his sons, Richard Weaver and wife, Fay, of Tunnelton, and John “Jay” Martin, of Albright; his daughter, Amy White and husband, Jerry, of Grafton; two sisters, Nina Sheets and husband, Jimmy, of Terra Alta, and Pearl Wilson and husband, Pete, of Tunnelton; and two grandchildren, Ashley Ford and Alyscenne Ford and two foster grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Dorsey, Wesley “Pete” and Pat.
Friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood from 4-8 p.m., Monday, July 12. Mr. Weaver will be moved to the Howesville United Methodist Church Tuesday, July 13, to be viewed from 10 a.m. till noon, the funeral hour, with Pastor Rick Bloom officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery.
