Rudolph Dluhy

Rudolph Paul Dluhy, 88 of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rudy was born April 17, 1933, in Vandergrift, Pa., a son of the late Joseph Dluhy and Elizabeth Dluhy.

Rudy was a United States Air Force veteran and retired as a superintendent from Schnabel Foundation and Earth Support Systems after 30 years of service. Rudy loved to play bingo, enjoyed watching sports on TV and taking his riding mower out to cut grass.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary Annette Ullery Dluhy; three daughters, Debbie Seymour and Terri (John) Adams, both of Morgantown, and Rita (Curt) Ayers, of Greenback, Tenn.; two sons, Joe (Gail) Dluhy, of O’Fallon, Ill., and Ken (Jeanie) Dluhy, of Smithsburg, Md.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his four beloved pets.

Rudy was preceded in death by one son, Tom Clark; brother, Tom Dluhy; and sisters, Lilly, Margaret and Betty.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, from 10 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, May 12. Funeral services will be held at noon with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown with military honors conferred by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the United States Air Force. Following CDC guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing practiced.
