Betty Lou (Hess) Hogan, 91, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Acuity Specialty Hospital situated within Mon Health Medical Center. She was born on Dec. 17, 1929, daughter of the late Clyde Sr. and Luretta (Lemley) Hess.
Betty was a graduate of University High School and had many hobbies, such as quilting, crocheting and canning. She was a member of the Riverside Apostolic Church of Westover and worked throughout the years at both Comuntzis Restaurant and Farmers and Merchants Bank of Morgantown.
She was married to her beloved husband, Winton Don Hogan, who passed away in 2016. He was the son of the late Parker L. and Annie Elizabeth Ruckman Hogan, of Monterville.
Betty is survived by two nieces, Diana Barnett and Linda Digman and companion Terry Newlon; two nephews, Kermit Hess, his wife Illa and their children, Clarence and Shaylena Hess and Roy Hess, all of Morgantown; along with several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Hess Junior, of Morgantown, in 2004.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 29, and from noon, Friday, April 30, until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Bishop Edwin Harper, former pastor of Riverside Apostolic Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, Pa.
