Kenneth E. Jackson, 74, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following a brief illness. Born in Dilliner, Pa., on Aug. 24, 1946, he was a son of the late Ray and Helen Jean (McClain) Jackson.
A 1965 graduate of Mapletown High School, Ken retired from Red Bone Mining after 47 years in the mines. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his fruit trees, was skilled in woodworking and carpentry and could fix or build just about anything.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Alma (Loring) Jackson; two daughters, Debra Haines McCartney and husband Daniel, of Sardis, Ohio, and Becky Jackson Muilenburg and husband Tim, of Carmichaels, Pa.; a son, Jason Jackson, of Dilliner, Pa.; five grandchildren, Zachary Haines, Madison and Gabby Muilenburg and Lilly and Kenny Ray Jackson; and a sister, Mrs. Vivian (David) Chadderton, of Dilliner, Pa.
Also deceased is a brother, Wayne D. Jackson.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, and again from noon, Sunday, until the 2 p.m. hour of service, with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating. Interment follows in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner.
CDC recommendations for the current health crisis will be observed.
